ISO 9001:2008

ISO 9001 is probably the most recognised standard and certifies that our business is run to a formulized standard including; monitoring processes to ensure they are effective, keeping adequate records, checking output for defects, with appropriate and corrective action where necessary, regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness, and facilitating continual improvement.

The ISO 9001 series of standards form the foundation and framework for an effective management system within any type of business. The standards were developed and published by the International Organisation for Standardisation or ISO.

Security guarding encompasses a wide range of services, but in essence is the provision of a physical presence, patrol or surveillance, so as to deter or otherwise discourage unauthorised access or occupation of supervised premises. Guarding services may also deter or prevent damage, destruction or theft from premises, or guard individuals against assault or injury. The code of practice sets out the criteria related to the effective provision of manned security solutions.

These include:

  • The training of personnel.
  • Operational and management procedures.
  • Issues relating to health and safety.
  • Appropriate criteria for selection and screening of personnel.
  • The provision of uniforms and equipment.
  • Terms and conditions of employment.
